How can I look after my mental health?

Self-care means making time for activities that are good for your body and mind. Even small actions can have a big impact, reducing stress and improving your wellbeing.

Practical tips for self-care:

Exercise

Just 30 minutes of walking a day can do wonders for your mood and health. Short, regular exercise throughout the day also counts!

Healthy diet

Make sure you eat balanced meals, drink enough water and monitor how caffeine or alcohol affect your mood. For some, abstaining is helpful.

Restful sleep

Create a fixed sleep rhythm. Reduce blue light from screens before going to bed to help you fall asleep.

Relaxation techniques

Try meditation, breathing exercises or muscle relaxation. Apps and programs can help. Also allow yourself time for hobbies, music or walks in nature.

Set goals & clarify priorities

Focus on the essentials. At the end of the day, celebrate what you have achieved instead of looking at what you have left undone.
